I would like to welcome you to another great year at Sixth Ward Elementary (2016-2017). My name is Ms. Monique Mills Simmons.  I am the District Instructional Specialist at this great school. This is my ninth year at Sixth Ward Elementary, and my second year serving as DIS.  I received my B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans. I am also proud to announce I received my Masters in Educational Leadership Technology from Nicholls State University in December of 2014. I love the chance I have been given to reach out and make our society better at its foundation. I believe that children are the building block of everything.  I look forward to working with the faculty, staff, students, and parents this school year.
