Stacy Whittington

My name is Stacy Whittington.  I am the school wide aide at Sixth Ward Elementary.  I have been a paraprofessional in the district for 17 years.  I am dedicated to the children and to education.  It is always my goal to help children achieve high levels of academic success.  I believe every child can, must, and will achieve.

Paula Link

My name is Paula Link.  I am a LA-4 Pre-K Paraprofessional at Sixth Ward Elementary. This is my 10th year as a Pre-K Paraprofessional.  My goal is to get children Kindergarten ready with social skills, problem solving, and especially academics.  A teacher aids to the mind, heart, and spirit of children.  “How can I teach if I have not been taught?”  “ If I can teach it, a child can reach it.”  “ If a child can see it, they can be it!”

Jaime Bailey

My name is Jaime Chantelle Bailey.  I've been working at Sixth Ward Elementary since 2008.  I am currently the School-wide In-school Suspension Para and 3rd through 6th grade Math Paraprofessional.  I graduated from Destrehan High School and I have an Associates of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Delgado Community College.  I believe that being a good teacher inspires hope, ignites the imagination and instills a love of learning; and I pray everyday that I am meeting that challenge.

Rose M. Burke

Hi,
My name is Rose M. Burke, but everyone calls me Ms. Peaches.  I've been working in the school system for 31 years, this is my second year working at Sixth Ward Elementary and I love what I do.  My occupation is a Paraprofessional, this permits me to go in the classroom to assist teachers in helping students achieve their goals.  The love and passion I have for working with kids puts a smile on my face; to know that I play a big part in their education is a blessing.
